A cold front moves through the region today, bringing widespread showers and cooler temperatures this afternoon.
Rainfall totals will stay on the lighter side, generally around a quarter inch, though some spots could see up to a half inch.
Temperatures fall into the 40s by sunset as winds shift to the north at around 10 mph.
Overnight, skies remain mostly cloudy, with lows dropping into the 30s. On Saturday, morning clouds gradually clear, giving way to sunshine in the afternoon.
A north to northeast breeze keeps areas near the lakeshore cooler, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Farther south, temperatures climb into the mid to upper 50s, with some spots south of US 30 reaching the low 60s.
On Sunday, a passing warm front creates a chance for a brief midday shower.
Aside from that, expect a partly cloudy, breezy, and much warmer day, with highs climbing well into the 70s. The upcoming week trends very warm and unsettled.
Rain is likely for much of Monday, accompanied by gusty winds. Scattered thunderstorms develop Tuesday and Wednesday as highs push into the upper 70s.
Additional rain chances return Thursday and Friday.
