Thirteen people have been charged with alleged involvement in a drug trafficking enterprise based in central Massachusetts and Puerto Rico.
Those charged come from Worcester and adjacent areas, as well as Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
According to the criminal documents, the organization was led by Jack Saez Jr., 34, of Dayville, Connecticut. Investigators claim the group received packages in the mail containing kilograms of cocaine smuggled from Puerto Rico for trafficking in Massachusetts.
During the investigation, more than 10 kg of cocaine, supplied via mail to locations in Worcester County, were seized. The organization is also charged with supplying methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Each defendant is charged with a single count of conspiracy to distribute banned drugs.

- Anthony Hines, 57, residing in Worcester, Mass.
- Stephen Bandilla III, 55, residing in East Brookfield, Mass.
- Justin Gilchrest, 34, residing in Webster, Mass.
- Alondra Daleishka Cruz Mendoza, 23, residing in Puerto Rico
- Ushuuaniliz Hernandez Rios, 21, residing in Puerto Rico
Searches of various stash houses and residences in Massachusetts and Puerto Rico resulted in the confiscation of eight weapons as well as additional narcotics for distribution.
The accusation of conspiracy to distribute controlled narcotics carries a maximum punishment of 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000.
