A man was taken into custody late Thursday night after deputies found drugs, stolen identity information, and outstanding warrants while conducting a proactive patrol, according to the Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 8.
Sgt. Peters was patrolling at 10 p.m. on April 30 in the 250 block of El Dorado Boulevard when he noticed unusual behavior at a self-service car wash. Authorities reported that numerous people were spotted removing parts from a car.
During the inquiry, the suspect was identified as Robert Solomonsz, born on March 27, 1983. Deputies determined that the vehicle’s registration plates were not issued to it.
According to officials, narcotics were discovered in plain view inside the vehicle. A search yielded roughly 2.2 grams of Xanax, as well as various kinds of identification and a credit card belonging to another person.
Further inquiry discovered Solomonsz had two open warrants from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for probation violations and driving while inebriated.
Authorities stated the recovered identification and bank cards were unlawfully in his possession, and the victims said they want to press charges.
Solomonsz was taken into jail without incident and transferred to the Harris County Joint Processing Center.
He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, and fraudulent use or possession of credit or debit card information, in addition to the outstanding warrants. Officials stated that bond has been denied at this moment.
