Police: Indiana man shoots and kills sister’s boyfriend after confronting him about flirting

An Indiana man was apprehended after he allegedly shot and killed his sister’s boyfriend after confronting him about flirting.

WTHR reports that a 19-year-old man was arrested following a fatal gunshot in Indianapolis at 7:30 p.m. on April 15.

The report claims that officers went to reports of a shooting and discovered 22-year-old Robert D. Golliday in severe condition after being shot. The person died shortly after, according to the report.

According to court documents acquired by WTHR, Golliday’s girlfriend told detectives that her brother had come to speak with him about some “grown man (expletive).” According to the report, she informed police that she had heard many gunshots shortly after the two males left the flat.

She allegedly told detectives that she was informed that Golliday had been sending amorous text messages to one of her relatives since January and that her brother most likely discovered this and came over to retaliate against Golliday.

According to the report, a witness inside the flat at the time told police she heard arguing in the hallway moments before gunshots were fired. Police reportedly used an electronic license plate reader system to track down a car related with the suspect and find his location.

The guy was eventually apprehended after attempting to avoid police by jumping from a third-story window, according to WTHR. According to the source, he is currently facing a preliminary charge of murder.
