Woman stabbed 15-year-old sister after teen caught her going through phone

Florida Woman Avoids Long Prison Sentence After Stabbing Teenage Sister Over Phone Dispute

A Florida woman who attacked her teenage sister after the teen caught her going through her phone has avoided a lengthy prison sentence.

Lynn My Le, 26, received a sentence of 180 days in jail followed by seven years of probation for the attack on her younger sister. As previously reported by Law&Crime, authorities charged Le with attempted murder after she stabbed her then-15-year-old sister on Oct. 26, 2025. The sisters were inside their family home in Cutler Bay, Florida, when the teenager was sleeping on the living room couch.

When the teen woke up, she found Le searching through her phone. After confronting her older sister, the situation escalated. Le grabbed a knife and stabbed the teen 10 times.

According to an arrest report reviewed by Law&Crime, Le’s sister caught her in the act and immediately grabbed the phone to get it back. She asked Le what she was doing, but instead of answering, Le retrieved a knife and attacked her sister.

The teen tried to escape through the front door, but Le chased after her and stabbed her several times in the back. The teenager then collapsed to the floor. After the victim “pleaded for her life,” Le finally stopped the attack and left her sister bleeding on the ground.

The younger sister was taken to the hospital in critical condition. When officers arrived at the home, Le refused to cooperate with police and was taken into custody.

On May 4, Le was convicted of aggravated battery, while the judge dismissed the attempted murder charge. She is no longer in custody.
