A homicide probe is underway in the Hazelwood neighborhood after a man was discovered dead early Tuesday morning, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Just after 4 a.m., police reported seeing a man lying on the ground at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Pine Street. Paramedics declared the man dead from what looked to be a gunshot wound.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit have responded to the inquiry.
Southeast 122nd Avenue was closed between East Burnside Street and Southeast Ash Street while police were on the scene. The road reopened just before 9 a.m. No, at the moment, no additional information has been published.
