Washington, DC rapper Landough$ has been taken into custody following a deadly shooting.
The 20-year-old man (real name Orlando Edwards) was arrested on May 28th, along with a 21-year-old woman called India Stroman.
According to WJLA, Edwards and Stroman are facing first and second-degree murder charges relating to the death of 47-year-old Ricardo Vance.
Police claim that on February 3rd, Edwards and Stroman got into an altercation with Vance in Prince George’s County.
Vance was seen following Stroman out of a store, and the woman then got into the rear of a black Cadillac Escalade with Edwards. He spoke to them from outside the car before driving away and coming to a stop at a nearby traffic light.
Investigators say Vance got into a red Nissan Sentra and drove alongside them at the lights, firing rounds from the rear of the Escalade where Edwards and Stroman were sitting.
Vance then fled on foot but died of his injuries in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road as the Escalade drove away.
Police later found the Escalade and the person who was driving the vehicle, who claimed that Edwards told him not to contact the police.
Landough$ released an album titled Trap Wars in December 2025, with tracks like “Problems” and “Bumpin'” receiving tens of thousands of streams on YouTube. Police think he wore the same clothes in one of his music videos as he did the night of the shooting.
Following Vance’s death, his sister told the Daily Voice, “He had a natural way of making people laugh—always ready with a joke, a smile, or a story that could lighten any room. He was friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely nice.”
