A 19-year-old was shot on Wednesday morning on the city’s West Side, Chicago police said.
According to authorities, the gunshot occurred around 5:09 a.m. on the 1200 block of West Washburne Avenue.
The male victim was outside when he was shot by someone driving a black vehicle, police said.
According to CPD, the victim was wounded in the foot and was transported to the University of Illinois Hospital; he is expected to recover.
No other information was available.
