A traffic stop in Brooklyn Park on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a Baltimore man and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs, the Anne Arundel County Police Department stated Thursday.
On June 17, around 2:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy Impala near Ritchie Highway and Townsend Avenue for a traffic violation.
The vehicle was searched with consent during the stop.
As a consequence, officers confiscated 113 red and white gel caps of suspected heroin, 100 off-white gel caps of suspected heroin, approximately 80 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and US currency.
The driver, Derle Daron Allen, 62, of Baltimore, was apprehended and charged.
