An investigation is underway after a 66-year-old man was struck while crossing a Cleveland street on Saturday, according to the Cleveland Division of Police.
Around 2:07 a.m., officers rushed to the intersection of Pearl Road and Bradwell Avenue for complaints of a pedestrian being struck.
Police discovered that the victim was struck by a car heading northbound on Pearl Road. He was thrown into the southbound lane and struck a second time by a different car, according to authorities.
Cleveland Police stated the victim was taken to the hospital and later declared deceased by staff.
The first car that hit the victim did not stop at the site, but the second did.
The Accident Investigation Unit is probing the incident.
