Massachusetts and Rhode Island residents apprehended after woman found nude inside Target

Residents from Massachusetts and Rhode Island have been charged following a complaint of a naked woman at a department store.

According to police, just before 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, an employee of Target, situated at 250 Fortune Boulevard in Milford, called the Milford Public Safety Communications Center to report a drunk and naked woman inside the shop. During the call, the employee said that the female had put her clothes back on and left the business on foot, with blood on her clothing.

When cops arrived, they began searching for the female before discovering a red Subaru Forester with a male operator and two female passengers, one of whom matched the suspect description provided by store employees, in a nearby deserted Best Buy parking lot.

Officers identified the vehicle’s passengers as Benjamin Mahler, 50, of Uxbridge, Elizabeth McCusker, 36, of Franklin, and Alisha Chmiel, 32, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

During the interaction, police officers discovered crack cocaine and fentanyl in the vehicle and its occupants’ possession.

Alisha Chmiel was accused with possession of a Class A substance (fentanyl), obstructing justice, and five active arrest warrants. She is being jailed on $1,000 cash bail.

Benjamin Mahler was charged with possessing a Class B substance (crack cocaine) and freed on personal recognizance.

Elizabeth McCusker was charged with possessing a Class A substance (fentanyl) and disturbing the peace. She received a summons but has not yet been arraigned.
