A Saline County man apprehended with over two grams of methamphetamine has been sentenced to prison.
In January, Nelson resident James Cornine was arrested during a traffic stop in Cooper County. Nicholas Ray, of Marshall, was stopped over near Boonville for driving without a valid registration.
During interrogation, deputies discovered Ray had 30 grams of methamphetamine stashed in his underwear. Corinne turned over 60 grams of methamphetamines. A second passenger, Marshall resident Katelyn Williams, provided deputies with a meth pipe hidden in her jeans.
Cornine pled guilty on Monday to second-degree narcotics trafficking. He was condemned to three years’ imprisonment.
Ray has a court appearance scheduled for next month. He has been charged with second-degree narcotics trafficking and driving while revoked.
Williams previously pled guilty to possessing a prohibited drug and received five years of supervised probation.
