A 16-year-old was taken into custody in connection with an aggravated assault case that occurred in May, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Kawung Bentley Jr. was found and arrested on Monday, according to deputies.
In May, deputies stated that they were looking for him.
According to the incident report, deputies rushed to the 2300 block of Travis Pines Drive on May 18 after receiving reports of bullets fired into a property.
According to deputies, two occupants inside the house claimed to be laying in a bedroom when bullets rang out through the window. One of the residents claimed she went to the bathroom and hid in the bathtub.
The other occupant informed deputies that he spotted four individuals lurking around outside the house before obtaining his weapon.
The tenant stated that the suspects then drove away in a Durango.
Deputies discovered four bullet holes in the bedroom window and perhaps two bullet holes on the exterior of the home near the window.
They also discovered two bullet holes in the back window of a black Dodge Charger.
Investigators discovered two shot casings in the road in front of the house, as well as a bookbag.
