A boy died Wednesday after his parent discovered him inside a vehicle, according to Phoenix police.
At 6:32 p.m., first responders and Phoenix police officers were dispatched to a home near Baseline Road and 24th Street in south Phoenix after receiving reports of a wounded person.
Officers discovered a boy, whose age is unknown, in severe condition inside a vehicle. According to authorities, the boy died after being brought to the hospital by paramedics.
No other information was provided, including how long the youngster had been in the vehicle.
The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death, officials added.
Detectives rushed to the location and took over the investigation.
