Lexington Park Woman Charged After Crack Cocaine Found In Bra

A Lexington Park woman was charged after deputies discovered suspected crack cocaine hidden in her clothing during a traffic stop.

Caitlin Ann Mossbarger, 36, of Lexington Park, was charged with possessing a controlled dangerous substance other than cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

The allegations come from an incident on July 2, 2026, along Three Notch Road and Buck Hewitt Road in Lexington Park.

According to the charging documents, a St. Mary’s County sheriff’s officer learned via a crime analyst that Mossbarger was trafficking narcotics in an unknown vehicle.

According to investigators, Mossbarger was recently affiliated with a silver 2010 Toyota Tundra. Deputies found the truck at the Pegg Road Food Mart on Three Notch Road.

The Tundra eventually stopped at a Wawa on Three Notch Road, momentarily entered San Souci Plaza, and then returned to the Wawa, according to court documents. Deputies reported that the vehicle’s moves appeared to be intended to escape law enforcement.

The truck had stopped along Three Notch Road and Buck Hewitt Road. Mossbarger was sitting in the front passenger seat.

As officers prepared to conduct a K-9 scan, an officer allegedly noticed a glass smoking pipe on the front passenger seat. Investigators identified the pipe as a “stem” that is widely used to smoke crack cocaine.

A search of the truck turned up an unidentified white powder inside the glove compartment, according to criminal documents.

During a check of Mossbarger, deputies claimed discovered probable crack cocaine hidden in her bra. She was detained and taken to St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center.

Mossbarger was originally held without bond. After a bond review in St. Mary’s County District Court on July 6, Judge James Tanavage maintained that status.

A trial is scheduled for August 18, 2026, in St. Mary’s County District Court.
