A robbery at a Nampa fast-food restaurant sparked an investigation that resulted in the arrest of two men, who are now facing several burglary and theft charges in Ada and Canyon counties.
On July 8, 2026, at approximately 2:04 p.m., Nampa dispatch got a call reporting a robbery that had just happened at a fast-food restaurant in the 16000 block of North Marketplace Boulevard. Officers and investigators spoke with witnesses who said that an adult man entered the company wearing a motorcycle helmet and dark clothing, grabbed the cash register till, and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.
According to witnesses, the suspect entered the passenger seat of a maroon pickup driven by another man, and the two fled the scene. Investigators discovered the maroon pickup was recently reported stolen in Canyon County.
After interviewing witnesses and studying camera footage, authorities identified the robbery suspect as Aaron David Child, a 19-year-old Boise resident. Detectives also identified the driver as Ammon Jayce Henderson, a 20-year-old Middleton resident and former employee of the eatery that was robbed.
On July 11, 2026, Boise police discovered Henderson near a fast-food restaurant in the 100 block of N. Milwaukee St. in Boise, where he was in possession of a stolen motorcycle. He was taken into prison without incident.
On July 15, 2026, Nampa investigators discovered the stolen maroon pickup used in the Nampa robbery, along with a stolen trailer, near the Robie Creek region of Boise County. On July 15, 2026, a child was found in Ada County and taken into custody without incident.
Henderson and Child are both being jailed in the Ada County Jail on allegations of burglary and larceny in Ada and Canyon counties. According to Nampa Police, robbery charges in connection with the Nampa incident are forthcoming.
