The Attorney General’s Office reports a North Carolina man was taken into custody for allegedly trafficking cocaine to Pennsylvania to then sell in Wilkes-Barre.
Orlando M. Horton, 46, was arrested after he fled on foot from investigators who pulled over his vehicle on July 16, authorities said.
Officials claimed they followed Horton’s movements last week and discovered he was transporting cocaine from North Carolina to Wilkes-Barre.
They then confiscated 22 ounces of cocaine, marijuana, and cash.
“Our agents became aware that Horton was the engineer of a cocaine trafficking pipeline, and along with partners, we effectively closed that pipeline.” Attorney General Sunday announced.
Horton is charged with possession with intent to deliver, flight, and related charges. He was arraigned and denied bail.
