Police: Woman Shot To Death In Wrigley Area

Police are investigating the death of a woman shot in the Wrigley neighborhood early Monday morning.

Long Beach police report that the woman was shot around 5:19 a.m. in the 1900 block of Long Beach Boulevard.

According to police, officers treated the woman until Long Beach Fire Department officials arrived. She was subsequently transferred to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries, according to officials.

The woman’s identity is being suppressed until the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner can contact her next of kin, according to authorities.

Homicide investigators rushed to the location, but the motive, circumstances of the shooting, and suspect information are still being investigated, according to the LBPD.
