A Kosciusko County Councilwoman has been taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.
Kimberly Cates was detained in Noble County shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday, according to our Times-Union reporting partners.
Cates is facing her second OWI charge in just over two years.
She presently represents District 1 in the county and will run uncontested in the November election.
The deadline for candidate to withdraw has already passed.
