A missing Kentucky teen was found inside a Maryland home after a tip triggered a major, multi-agency response.
A 13-year-old Kentucky girl who went missing more than two months ago was discovered safe inside a Montgomery County home after police followed a tip that led them directly to a Silver Spring home, authorities said.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, Wynter Wagoner, of Rockcastle County, Kentucky, was found inside a home shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday, December 26, in the 12000 block of Dalewood Drive in Silver Spring.
She’d been missing for 67 days.
Officers from Montgomery County Police Fourth District were summoned to the home after receiving information that the missing adolescent might be nearby, according to police.
Officers responded with US Marshals Service deputies.
Police claimed they found Wagoner and 37-year-old Christian Alexander Delgado inside the home.
Delgado was taken into jail without incident, while Wagoner was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Wagoner was reported missing after being last seen on Monday, October 14, in Kentucky, according to authorities.
According to authorities, the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office acquired an arrest warrant for Delgado on charges of kidnapping.
Delgado is currently being jailed at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit pending extradition to Kentucky, according to authorities.
