22-year-old Found Dead During Welfare Concern Call In Converse

A welfare concern call led Converse police to find a dead 22-year-old man inside a residence on Sleepy Lane.

Officers from the Converse Police Department responded to the call on February 11, 2026, at about 8:30 a.m., according to a department press release. When they arrived, they discovered an open window leading into the living area of the home. Inside, they discovered the deceased individual, whose death appears to be the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, though the investigation is still underway.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office is on the scene, determining the official cause and manner of death. Authorities have claimed that there is no evidence of a continued threat to the public. To respect the family, the deceased’s identity will not be disclosed until the next of kin have been notified.
