A suspect has been detained in connection with a Thursday shooting in a Massachusetts town that left a victim hospitalized.
The Braintree Police Department announced the arrest on Friday morning. The suspect’s name was withheld due to his age.
On Thursday afternoon, officers responded to a gunshot on Skyline Drive in Braintree. A victim was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, and authorities suspect it was not an isolated event.
The suspect faces charges of assault with intent to murder (armed), assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a large-capacity firearm.
Police said the suspect would be arraigned but did not provide a date.
