3 Men Arrested In Central Florida Murder Case After Body Discovered With Gunshot Wounds

Three men were arrested in a Central Florida murder case after a dead body was discovered with gunshot wounds at a Kissimmee crash scene.

On November 15th, 2024, at 2:45am, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible traffic crash at the intersection of Greenup Street and Smith Street in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies located the deceased body of the driver, a male with several gunshot wounds, in the driver’s seat of a Range Rover.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded immediately, deploying their Homicide and Forensic Units to examine the crime scene. Forensic specialists examined the scene and collected important evidence, while the Medical Examiner’s Office took control of the victim’s remains.

Kashorn Armand, age 20, was later identified as the dead. Following a comprehensive study, the medical examiner determined that the death was a homicide. Preliminary investigations by homicide detectives from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office revealed that this was not a random act of violence. According to local police, the murder appeared to be premeditated and tied to organized gang activity.

Given the case’s complexity and seriousness, the Homicide Unit worked closely with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Crime Laboratory Analysts and Forensic Division to ensure that all evidence was handled with meticulous care.

Detectives worked diligently for several months to unearth key information that led to the identification of three primary suspects in Kashorn Armand’s murder: 18-year-old Ta’Shard Smith, 18-year-old Sincere McKenzie, and 21-year-old Cornelius Walls.

Smith and McKenzie were juveniles when the murder occurred. Their involvement implied a larger criminal scheme, compounding the story of Armand’s terrible demise.

The investigation was sent to assistant state attorneys for additional legal action. The case reached a turning point in January 2026, when the State Attorney’s Office presented it before a grand jury for indictment. After carefully reviewing the evidence and testimonies, the grand jury indicted all three individuals for their roles in this gang-motivated homicide, and arrest warrants were issued with gang enhancements.

The United States Marshals’ Office assisted in locating and apprehending Ta’Shard Smith, who was still at large. He was detained and placed into Osceola County Jail earlier this month. Meanwhile, Cornelius Walls and Sincere McKenzie had already been arrested in separate state correctional facilities, and their homicide warrants were swiftly served.

The OCSO stated that this terrible case exemplifies the continuous problems that law enforcement faces in combating gang-related violence and emphasizes the necessity of community vigilance and collaboration in bringing culprits to justice. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office stated that it remains committed to uncovering the complete truth about this atrocity and holding those responsible accountable.

There have been other unrelated homicides in this area, and anyone with information about these or any other comparable crimes is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222.
