Missing 3-year-old From Avondale Located Safe At Phoenix Gas Station; Suspect Arrested

Kehlani Marie Rogers, 3, who was the subject of an Amber Alert on Saturday, has been located safe.

Phoenix Police said the toddler was discovered at a QuikTrip at 27th Avenue and Thomas Road on Sunday morning.

On Friday night, Marina Noriega, 23, allegedly grabbed Rogers from an Avondale residence around 118th Avenue and Edgemont Street.

A person reportedly saw the pair in west Phoenix and called the cops. This tip helped Avondale police discover the toddler. According to police, Rogers was unharmed.

Noriega was arrested at the QuikTrip and will be placed into jail. It is not known what charges she faces.

On Saturday afternoon, an Amber Alert was issued with Rogers and Noriega’s characteristics. Authorities received various tips regarding where they could have been. Later that day, they were spotted on surveillance film at a Maricopa business.

The alert was canceled shortly after the pair was discovered in Phoenix on Sunday morning. Rogers was transported to the Avondale Police Department headquarters; it is unclear if she has returned to her family yet.

“We extend our sincere thanks to our media partners, the community, and our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners for their assistance in achieving a safe resolution,” the Avondale Police Department shared in a statement.
