An Orlando traffic stop led to the finding of firearms, illegal drugs, and cash.
According to the Orlando Police Department, what began as a traffic check near Gore St. and Parramore Ave. swiftly escalated into a broader investigation after officers discovered firearms, illegal substances, and cash.
As the inquiry progressed, officers discovered a home linked to the enterprise. OPD SWAT and the Parramore Bike Unit later executed a search warrant at the location, recovering additional firearms, narcotics, THC products, pills, digital scales, packaging materials, and thousands of dollars in cash associated with illegal drug distribution, according to local law enforcement.
The inquiry resulted in numerous arrests and the filing of various felony charges.
Meric Harrison was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, drug possession with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver a controlled substance (Schedule 1), possession with intent to sell a new or legend drug, possession of a legend drug without a prescription with intent, conspiracy to traffic cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to sell or deliver while armed, and possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis Keshaina Wilson was arrested and charged with possessing cannabis under 20 grams. Erika Bearden was detained and charged with possessing less than 20 grams of cannabis, fleeing police with lights and sirens activated, and resisting an officer without violence.
“Great teamwork by all units involved in helping remove illegal drugs and firearms from our streets,” the Orlando Police Department posted.
