An 18-year-old suburban Chicago high school student was arrested after reportedly threatening others with a knife on school grounds.
The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday at Rolling Meadows High School, according to Rolling Meadows police.
Officers arrived in response to reports that a student was threatening other students with a knife. When police came, they detained the student and seized two knives, according to officials.
According to police, the knives were not exhibited during the event, and no students or personnel were wounded.
Police classified the incident as isolated, and activities at the school resumed as planned. The investigation is underway.
