Man armed with shotgun apprehended after allegedly robbing Baltimore bank and assaulting customer

An alleged Baltimore bank robber is behind bars.

According to police, a man entered the Wells Fargo Bank in the 4800 block of Eastern Avenue at 9:30 a.m. on Monday.

He apparently assaulted a customer with a shotgun before fleeing with a big quantity of money.

A police aircraft and members of the Regional Auto Theft Task Force later discovered the suspect’s vehicle, resulting in a brief chase down I-895.

Officers swiftly apprehended the suspect and arrested him. His name has not been released.

Meanwhile, the bank was temporarily closed as investigators assessed the crime scene.
