Jersey City Man Sentenced To 22 Years In Prison For 4 Armed Robberies In 2022

According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, Naji Thomas, 33, of Jersey City, was convicted at trial on March 2nd of four charges of first-degree armed robbery, four counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, and four counts of possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose.

The defendant was sentenced to two consecutive 11-year prison terms, both subject to the No Early Release Act. Max Bosco and Priya Angara, Hudson County Assistant Prosecutors, represented the state in this action.

The robberies took place in Jersey City on February 18th, February 25th, March 3rd, and March 17th, 2022.

In each case, Thomas entered a business armed with a weapon and demanded money from employees. Furthermore, the defendant stole cellphones during three crimes.
