What would you do for a winning lottery ticket — even if you didn’t know it was a winner yet?
One Ohio man has a pretty extreme answer: dumpster diving.
According to an Ohio Lottery press release, a Willard man accidentally threw away his Bingo 25 Times 25 Scratch-Off ticket. To get it back, he had to climb into the dumpster at the Circle K on Walton Street in Willard — and the effort turned out to be well worth it.
The ticket was a $100,000 winner. After taxes, he’s taking home around $73,250.
Bingo Times 25 is a $5 Ohio Lottery Scratch-Off that gives players the chance to win up to $100,000. As of June 5, 2026, seven more top prizes are still up for grabs.
