A Florida man won a $2 million jackpot in a lottery draw game.
The Florida Lottery recently announced that Benjamin Hall of Winter Haven won the $2 million jackpot from a Jackpot Triple Play drawing held earlier this year.
The Central Florida man elected to receive his prize in one lump sum payment of $1,212,677.60.
The Florida player purchased his Jackpot Triple Play ticket from Vaishali, which is located at 4646 N. Combee Road in Lakeland.
He collected his winnings at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
For $1, Jackpot Triple Play players have a triple chance of winning the jackpot because each ticket has three sets of numbers to match with the winning numbers drawn. The first set allows players to select six numbers from 1 to 46, while the second set is chosen at random using Quick Pick.
Jackpots begin at $250,000 and can roll over to $2 million before rolling down to boost the lower-prize levels in each drawing until the jackpot is claimed. Players win when they match three or more numbers from the same set to the winning numbers drawn. Players can increase their chances of winning by combining all of the matches on the ticket and adding Combo for an additional $1.
Since its beginning in 2019, Jackpot Triple Play has paid out more than $183.3 million in prizes, established 87 jackpot winners, and raised more than $137.4 million for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
