A Chicago woman was recently apprehended for allegedly driving under the influence with a child in her car.
Ryan Nadal Jackson, 27, of Chicago, Illinois, is charged with abandonment of a dependent, a level 6 felony, and operating a car while inebriated, a class C misdemeanor.
On June 10, an Indiana State Police trooper was patrolling along US 30 in Warsaw when he saw a speeding car and stopped it. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jackson, who was visibly intoxicated.
According to court records, a youngster was in the vehicle at the time of the event. Jackson failed several field sobriety tests and registered 0.12% BrAC on a portable breath test.
Jackson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on June 10. Her initial hearing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, in Kosciusko Superior Court One.
