Central Florida woman faces over 100 felony charges for leaking court info to drug traffickers

A Central Florida woman is facing over 113 felony charges after illegally accessing a court database and providing information with a drug trafficking group.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Crystal Lawson, 32, used the Comprehensive Case Information System (CCIS) to seek up existing criminal cases involving a drug trafficking ring that was being investigated.

Lawson, who began working as a Juvenile Probation Officer for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice in February 2022, gained access to the database as part of her responsibilities. Despite being fired later that year following an arrest on a violence charge, investigators claim her system access was never withdrawn.

Between January and May 2026, Lawson allegedly accessed the database 106 times without permission. Investigators say she looked for active arrest warrants, identified co-defendants, and disseminated information about forthcoming arrests to organization members and allies.

According to authorities, the leaks resulted in the loss of evidence, unrecovered assets, and at least one suspect fleeing to evade arrest.

Lawson faces 113 felony counts of Unauthorized Access under Computer Crimes, each with a possible five-year jail sentence.
