Authorities in Georgia have detained a local man in connection with a Wednesday night shooting that killed two family members.
Deputies responded to a home in the 4500 block of Gauntt Road after getting multiple 911 calls reporting individuals being shot. When police officials arrived at the home, they discovered two victims, Jennifer Lynn Mincey and Amanda Mincey McBrayer, both with gunshot wounds.
Emergency officials pronounced McBrayer dead at the scene. Responders brought Jennifer Lynn Mincey to Grady Memorial Hospital, where deputies verified she died from her injuries.
Ralph Edward Mincey was apprehended at the scene of the shooting. He was taken to the Walton County Jail, where he is currently being held on two counts of murder and one extra charge of weapons possession.
