A 15-year-old girl was found dead following a shooting in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood, according to the Cleveland Division of Police.
Around 1:32 p.m., the Second District responded to the 900 block of Spring Road for a report of a person being shot.
When cops arrived, they found the teen with a gunshot wound.
Cleveland EMS came to the scene and pronounced the 15-year-old girl dead, according to police.
According to preliminary information, the victim knows the suspect. Cleveland Police Sgt. Freddy Diaz stated, “The victim knows the suspect, and the suspect knows the victim.”
Diaz reported that two people were caught and two firearms were found at the location. “It’s always difficult to witness these types of incidents,” Diaz remarked. “We hope this violence stops.”
The incident is still under investigation.
