A former NFL wide receiver has been arrested for “multiple felony offenses,” according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.
According to a police release, the former player, Damoun Patterson, 31, was arrested on August 22 and is now facing the following charges:
- Grand theft of a motor vehicle
- Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- Criminal mischief
- Armed burglary of a dwelling
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News 6, Patterson has been identified as the suspect in a home invasion in Orlando.
Around 1 a.m. on August 22, officers discovered Patterson in a stolen car in the 700 block of Silver Beach Avenue, which led to his arrest, according to the affidavit.
Furthermore, authorities reported finding a “machete-style knife” in the vehicle’s front passenger seat.
According to jail records, Patterson is being held without bond. He has previously been with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New England Patriots.
