Authorities say a body was pulled from the St. Louis River near the Blatnik Bridge in Duluth early Saturday morning after authorities found an abandoned car in the area.

Law enforcement officers, fire crews and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the St. Louis River after someone spotted a body in the water beneath the Blatnik Bridge.
At around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, law enforcement received a report about an unoccupied vehicle near the center span of the Blatnik Bridge. A Minnesota State Trooper arrived at the scene and spotted a body in the water below.
St. Louis County Sheriff’s Deputies, Duluth Fire, the U.S. Coast Guard and the St. Louis County Rescue Squad responded to help. Crews recovered the body from the water and identified the person as a 34-year-old Duluth man.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say they cannot release any additional information at this time. Officials have not publicly identified the man, and the circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
