A city teen and his mother were shot in a laundromat on Monday evening in what seemed to be a targeted attack, according to police and law enforcement sources.
According to police and reports, the gunman stormed up to the boy, 17, and his mom, 37, and shot both in the right leg inside the Astor Laundromat on Astor Avenue near Holland Avenue in Allerton, The Bronx.
According to authorities, both victims were brought to Jacobi Medical Center and are in stable condition.
Investigators suspect the shooter was targeting the mother and boy, but the motive was not immediately revealed, according to sources.
According to authorities, the gunman is believed to be in his twenties and stands around 5-foot-6.
He fled the site following the barrage of gunfire and had not been apprehended by Tuesday.
