Beverly Hills Police Department detectives arrested a former deputy fire chief of the Beverly Hills Fire Department on Sept. 21 on suspicion of stalking and vandalism.
The suspect, Alfred Poirier of Santa Clarita, is suspected of repeatedly placing fliers with computer-generated images at city facilities. BHPD Capt. Kevin Orth stated that the fliers were placed on municipal buildings but did not include any information, images, or substance. Detectives are still investigating. The BHPD will release further information as the inquiry continues.
Poirier worked for the BHFD from 2022 until he retired in April 2026. Poirier was a 36-year veteran of the Los Angeles Fire Department before joining the BHFD. The crimes in Beverly Hills allegedly took place after he retired. Unfortunately, particular dates were not provided.
Poirier was arrested by the Beverly Hills Police Department and freed on $150,000 bail. He is set to appear on November 22 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court’s Airport Courthouse.
