Meigs County Construction Update: Week of April 18, 2022
MARIETTA, Ohio – The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Meigs County. All outlined work is weather permitting.
U.S. 33 Rockslide Repair – A rockslide repair project is taking place on U.S. 33, between Long Hollow Road (Township Road 27A) and SR 833. The eastbound driving lane is closed. The passing lane is open. Estimated completion: June 30, 2022
SR 681 Culvert Replacement – A culvert replacement project is taking place on SR 681, between Devenny Road (Township Road 258) and Bentz Cemetery Road (Township Road 158). The road is closed from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Estimated completion: April 22, 2022
SR 681 Landslide Repairs – Landslide repairs are taking place on SR 681, between Vance Road (Township Road 259) and Haning Ridge Road (Township Road 233). One lane is closed. Traffic is being maintained with temporary signals. Estimated completion: October 1, 2022
SR 143 Landslide Repair – A landslide repair project is taking place on SR 143, between Mudfork Road (Township Road 52) and Myers Road (Township Road 282). One lane is closed. Traffic is being maintained with temporary signals. Estimated completion: June 30, 2022
County Road 163 Bridge Replacement – A bridge replacement project is taking place on County Road 163, between Rocksprings Road and Hemlock Grove Road. The road is closed. The detour is Rocksprings Road to U.S. 33 west to SR 681 east to Hemlock Grove Road. Estimated completion: May 6, 2022
Ravenswood Bridge Deck Repairs – The West Virginia Department of Transportation is performing bridge deck repairs on the Ravenswood Bridge over the Ohio River, between Portland and Jackson County, W.Va. One Lane will be closed. Estimated completion: May 6, 2022
