Robert Allen McMurray

Robert Allen McMurray, 85, Albany, passed away Wednesday December 21, 2022, at

the Darst Group Home, Pomeroy, Ohio.

     He was born May 29, 1937, in Ravenswood, West Virginia, the son of the late

James David “Jasper” and Maude Elenora Pearson McMurray.  He served 4 years each in

both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S Navy.  He was a member of the VFW and the

National Rifleman Association.

     Robert is survived by 2 grandchildren Ronnie Butcher and Madison Butcher;

a niece Cheryl (Ronald) Butcher of Albany, and several other nieces and nephews.

     In addition, to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Virginia Klimekiewcz,

Mable Hancock, Rose Neidbalski, Raymond McMurray, joe McMurray, Leora Kozoil,

John McMurray, Bill McMurray, Gertrude Monroe, Homer McMurray, Mary Haning.

     Services are Wednesday 1 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, with Pastor 

Bert Christian officiating.  Burial is in White Oak Cemetery.  Visitation is from 11 A.M.

Wednesday until time of service.  Military Graveside services will be by Albany VFW Post 9893,

and Athens American Legion K.T. Crossen Post 21.
