51 people were arrested on 130 charges during a multi-jurisdictional drug operation that lasted nearly three months, authorities announced.
The operation, which began July 1 to September 20, focused on drug trafficking, unauthorized possession of controlled substances, and drug possession.
Law enforcement agencies participating included the Chambers County Drug Task Force, Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, Chambers County Multi-Jurisdictional SWAT Team, Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, and Valley, Lafayette, and Lanett police departments.
The following individuals have been arrested and charged:

- Victor Hadaway, 74, Wadley: Unlawful possession of meth, possession of marijuana 2nd, possession of drug paraphernalia
- Walter Scroggins, 48, Valley: Unlawful possession of synthetics, possession of marijuana 1st
- Michael Shelnutt, 60, Hoover: Trafficking in meth, unlawful possession of synthetics, possession of drug paraphernalia

According to authorities, the operation is one of the greatest coordinated narcotics enforcement initiatives in Chambers County in recent memory. Investigators are still reviewing evidence, and anyone with information should contact local law enforcement.
