Man Detained After Drug Bust at Circle K Parking Lot

A late-night traffic stop in Lake County resulted in a drug trafficking arrest after deputies discovered a man riding an unlicensed dirt bike and carrying methamphetamine.

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in the Circle K parking lot in Eustis. According to deputies, Gerald Slaseman, the driver of the dirt bike, did not have a valid license or registration. According to investigators, the vehicle was also unregistered.

When deputies searched Slaseman, they allegedly discovered a clear plastic bag containing approximately 26 grams of methamphetamine, a glass pipe, and a breath mint package with less than 1 gram of meth. According to authorities, Slaseman was arrested and sent to Lake County Jail.

Slaseman is now facing many accusations, including trafficking over 14 grams of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license (third offense), and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office reported no injuries related to the arrest.
