A York County cop and his wife were detained after giving alcohol to minors and drinking with them, according to police.

A Childline tip triggered a police investigation into Elias Anthony Martinez, 41, a Carroll Township patrolman, and his wife, Shae Katherine Martinez, 33, both of Dillsburg. They were charged with corrupt kids and giving alcohol to minors.

The accusations stem from parties held between July 2023 and October 2024, when police allege they offered multiple teens aged 15–17 alcohol at their home and supervised and engaged in alcohol usage.

Shae Martinez once offered to put her fingers down a minor’s throat to assist them in puking after they had consumed too much alcohol, according to police.

In an affidavit following an interview with five adolescent witnesses, police presented the following evidence to justify criminal charges:

The first juvenile informed authorities that in the summer of 2023, when they were 16, they drank a few drinks under the supervision of Elias and Shae Martinez and felt joyful and intoxicated afterward but weary and sluggish the next day. The kid told authorities that the Martinezes provided them with prepared canned alcoholic beverages such as Twisted Teas, Hard Lemonades, and Jack Daniel’s whiskey.

Elias Martinez told police the youngster was “making up” the claims, and the boy said it was because they were frustrated with him. He also told police he was aware that his child and their buddies had previously snuck booze.

Another juvenile informed officers that they drank alcohol at the Martinez residence four to five times each week, using approximately eight cans at a time.

The kid stated that the pair would drive the minors to the store, ask them what they wanted, and purchase alcohol. The teen also offered authorities a video of minors drinking near the Martinez pool. The pair was in the background.

Another kid, who played baseball for the Elias Martinez-coached squad, told the same tale as the prior witnesses. This teenager claimed to have vomited twice as a result of excessive drinking. The juvenile also stated that they once handed Shae Martinez money in exchange for alcohol, which another juvenile confirmed.

A fourth witness told police that Elias Martinez went to the store to obtain more booze while the adolescents were present and bolted out.

The Carroll Township Police Department has placed Martinez on administrative leave, but his listing remains on their website. Police released Elias and Shae Martinez on a $25,000 unsecured bail.
