The Utica Police Department arrested a man on drug charges after discovering he was sought for a robbery in New York City.
Samuel Crippen, 37, of Utica, was charged by the police department with third- and seventh-degree unlawful possession of a controlled narcotic, as well as obstruction of governmental administration.
On October 9, authorities stopped two individuals in the 1600 block of Oneida Street. According to authorities, one of the individuals, Crippen, provided fake information.
Officers attempted to hold Crippen when it was “evident” that he was lying to them. Crippen was handcuffed and engaged in a struggle with the officers.
That’s when he was identified, and it was discovered that he was sought by the NYPD on a robbery warrant. He was then found with knotted baggies containing cocaine.
