Two men were apprehended for murder following the shooting of an 18-year-old woman in Orlando.
Jonathan Martinez, 20, and Joshua Benetiz Rodriguez, 20, were detained for murder. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office charged both with second-degree murder with a firearm and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
“Karimar Nicole Rios’ life was tragically taken far too soon,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office posted. “Our homicide detectives have worked tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.”
The woman was discovered in a crashed vehicle with a gunshot wound.
The shooting happened on Sand Lake Road, near South Orange Blossom Trail.
“Our thoughts are with the Rios family during this difficult time,” OCSO posted.
