Madisonville Police Department officials say a man is in jail after being found under the influence in a Burger King drive-thru.
According to a police report, officers were summoned to the Burger King on Chelsea Drive for a wellness check.
The complainant claimed to have seen a black truck parked between the drive-thru windows, officials said. They informed police they knocked on the truck’s window, but the suspect, later identified as Christian Suttle, did not answer.
When police arrived, they discovered Suttle driving from behind the building and parking in a position in front of Burger King.
Police say he was sweating considerably and had dilated pupils.
When authorities asked what he was doing, Suttle replied he had fallen asleep while waiting for a DoorDash order.
Suttle ultimately told police that he had smoked methamphetamine a few hours before.
During a car search, officers discovered a glass smoking pipe and a packet containing probable methamphetamine.
Suttle was arrested and booked into Hopkins County Jail for the following charges:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle while Under the Influence
- Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
