Police are seeking two men they say are responsible for robbing a 10-year-old boy in Allerton.
On January 2, shortly after 4 p.m., the duo approached the boy in front of 2500 White Plains Road.
Authorities said the men assaulted the boy before taking his hat and roughly $45.
The men ran from the scene, going north on White Plains Road.
According to police, the child was uninjured.
A man was last spotted wearing a black pullover with the word “scream” and dark-colored pants. Authorities say the other was seen dressed entirely in black.
This comes as city data shows that robberies in the neighborhood have increased by 50 percent since this time last year.
The NYPD urges anyone with information to contact its Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
