A man accused of attempted murder after he allegedly shot at a woman and her car has been apprehended by Baton Rouge Police.
Charles Jones, 37, allegedly shot a woman on Hammond Street on January 5. According to an affidavit, Jones was one of two people involved in the shooting, with the other saying, “I know that’s not who I think it is,” when they saw the woman’s vehicle.
Police stated the woman had a previous dispute with the second suspected suspect, who was waiting for an opportunity to confront her about the incident.
The woman then began driving away when Jones and the other suspect exited their vehicle and began firing at her and her automobile.
Jones was detained on Wednesday for attempted second-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal use of a firearm.
