Authorities are investigating after a police officer shot a suspect during a domestic-related incident Wednesday night in Chester, Pennsylvania, according to Action News.
The shooting occurred around 8:33 p.m. near 9th and Walnut streets.
Sources told Action News that a man shot a woman during the incident.
When officers arrived at the scene, investigators said at least one officer discharged a weapon, striking the suspect. He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Officials have not yet provided an update on the woman’s condition.
Chopper 6 footage showed more than two dozen evidence markers spread across the scene. Officers were also seen examining a dark-colored SUV at the location.
Police confirmed that no officers were injured.
Authorities have not released additional details about what led to the officer-involved shooting.
