SUV driver dies after Warren County crash that sends 4 people to hospital, police say

TOWNSHIP OF HAMILTON, Ohio — A driver died following a crash in Hamilton Township on Monday that also sent four others to the hospital, according to Hamilton Township police.

Hamilton Township Police Chief Quillan Short told WLWT that 57-year-old Scott Ricketts died from injuries suffered in the crash.

Short said Ricketts was driving a Nissan Rogue when a pickup truck towing a landscaping trailer crossed the center line and struck the SUV.

The crash occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Monday on State Route 22 between Stubbs Mill Road and Zoar Road.

According to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, 57-year-old Scott Ricketts died at UC Medical Center.

Hamilton Township Fire Rescue said two people were airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after the crash, while two others were taken to nearby hospitals.
